Project Management Office(PMO) Implementation within a telecom consortium

Context

Two telecom companies are grouped in a consortium to deliver mobile network services.

The project prioritization and communication are becoming crucial success factors for the projects. Setting up a PSO at consortium level seems to be the right answer for aligning since the two companies strive for a unique project management culture.

Objectives

  • Deploy PSO services for delivering added values to the consortium program management
  • Align project managers on a unique Project Life Cycle and supporting  templates
  • Build a shared document management system

  • 9 PSO services in place
  • Improvement of the communication with the customer
  • Setup of a strategic project roadmap definition tool
  • Setup of the shared document management system (SharePoint)
  • Transmission of the PSO to internal employees (handover)
