2010 Paris Motor Show

A successful gathering of over 400 guests on Opening Night

The 2010 Paris Motor Show presented an impressive showcase of vehicles including concept cars, green automobiles, electric vehicles and other new models. The event organisers scheduled previews of more than 100 vehicles and the show, which was presented to the press on 30 September for two days, was then opened to the public from 2 to 17 October.

The Auto Expo came at a crucial moment when carmakers worldwide were just beginning to recover from a period of deep recession. This fair, which attracted some 140,000 visitors in 2008, is a major event in the industry and will set the trends for motor shows around the globe.

On “opening night” of the Paris show, many of our top clients in the automotive, aerospace, banking, energy and healthcare sectors enjoyed the hospitality of our teams at the Altran Group stand. For the first time, Altran and industrial-design partner, Estech, pooled their skills and mounted a joint stand to welcome their VIP clients. During this evening that combined business with pleasure, our clients were able to meet and get to know some of the top directors and managers at Altran.

Using brochures and wide-screen visuals, we were also able to take this opportunity to acquaint our VIP clients with Altran’s expertise in six specific areas (Body in White, Powertrain, Enterprise Performance, Mobility Services, Embedded Systems, Diagnostic & After-sales Services). Our solutions, which are designed to meet current challenges in the automotive sector in terms of environment, new forms of mobility and security, also include the essential concept car, "Just 2". This vehicle, created by Pr[i]me, demonstrates Altran’s six areas of automotive expertise and its positioning as regards mobility solutions.

Many of our clients stayed on late into the evening conversing with Altran teams on the stand; a sign that fruitful professional contacts were made.
